Jay's Trip to Happy Valley

Jay came to Utah for a week in August and we wreaked havoc on the place. He surprised me and came a day earlier than he had told me to come pick him up at the airport, so I got an extra day with him. We spent time with his family up in Salt Lake, and my family in Provo.

Jay and I got to watch to his niece Caitlin's horse riding lesson in West Jordan. This is Caitlin on her horse. I would guess it's a lot different than the wooden horses she and her sister Maren have early-morning rodeos with while listening to "Dancing Queen" in their living room.

My dad took us boating on Utah Lake, and this was taken as Jay was driving the boat.  

Jay, me, and Scott on "The Ho." With my dad driving the boat, it's quite the job to try and hold on, especially with three grown people on it. We did pretty well for ourselves, but Jay and Scott did scream like little girls most of the time.

Jay got up in record time--it only took about 5 tries, compared to the 15 tries it usually takes everyone else on their first time.
